March is National Women’s History month, and the Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts in Frankfort is honoring women with an exhibition of selected works by area women artists.
A public artist reception will be held at the new Oliver Art Center (formerly the Crystal Lake Art Center) on Thursday, March 8 5-7 PM with a free wine tasting by the Traverse City Wine & Art Festival.
March 8th is International Women’s Day and later that evening at 7:15 the Benzie Area Women’s History Project will present the award-winning documentary, “The Harvest/La Cosecha” at Frankfort’s Garden Theater.
The Oliver Art Center is located at 132 Coast Guard Rd. in Frankfort, and the exhibit will be open to the public March 8-31, Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sat. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Please visit www.crystallakeartcenter.org or contact 231-352-4151 for more information.
